What motivates me to serve on the Chamber Board is the opportunity to contribute at a broader level. I believe Penticton has tremendous potential, and I want to help ensure our local businesses remain competitive, connected, and future-ready. I bring strategic thinking, governance experience, and a collaborative mindset, and I’m committed to helping strengthen the Chamber’s impact for years to come.

I believe deeply in the power of coordinated efforts to address shared challenges, and the Chamber is the recognized and respected voice that leads this important work on behalf of the Penticton and Wine Country business community.
I am interested in continuing serving on the Board because I am passionate about contributing to collaborative, well informed, and strategic responses that strengthen our local economy and community as a whole. Our region is experiencing both exciting opportunities and significant pressures—from growth and labour market shifts to regulatory, infrastructure, and affordability challenges. Addressing these issues effectively requires unified leadership, thoughtful dialogue, and a commitment to representing the diverse needs of businesses of all sizes and sectors.

I value the important work of the Penticton Chamber in connecting and advocating for local businesses, and I want to help foster the workplace culture that supports their success. As an active community member, I see how vital strong connections are, and I believe the Chamber plays a key role in helping new businesses understand the local climate and thrive. I appreciate the impact of events like Breakfast Chats, BAB mixers, and educational webinars in building those connections. Having served six years as a Director, including two as Second Vice-President and as the Chamber representative on Local Immigrant Programs, I bring governance and advocacy experience. As a former Membership Coordinator, I am committed to attracting and engaging members, and I am proud to be a strong advocate for the Chamber in our community.
Janine Cumberland, Owner of Enchanted Florist and Paradox Wedding and Events
I have been a part of the Chamber for a few years and bring hands-on experience of the ups & downs in the Okanagan market for small business, small-business experience, event and project coordination skills, and strong community relationship building. My background includes organizing and executing events, managing vendor and client relationships, marketing and promotion, and working within budget and timeline constraints. I’m skilled at turning ideas into workable plans and following them through to completion. I am also actively involved with not-for-profit organizations SOSBIS as president as well as a director with the SS Sicamous, which has strengthened my skills in fundraising, donor relations, and community collaboration.
Karsten Erzinger, Associate (Lawyer) at FH&P Lawyers
I am hoping that my experience and background will be useful contributions to the Chamber. As a practicing family lawyer, I am proficient in written and verbal communication and advocacy. Furthermore, in my professional life you have to be solution-focused and good at mediating and consensus building in order to resolve disputes.
I also have some communications experience from my time working in politics on campaigns and as an assistant for a member of parliament. I have an extensive network not only with other legal professionals, but also with experts and professionals including accountants, tax experts, valuators, realtors, that I have to consult with regularly in my practice.
Cherry Fernandez, Executive Director at South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services (SOICS)
Having had the privilege of serving on the Board, I remain deeply committed to the long-term economic strength and social cohesion of our region. My continued interest in serving stems from both a sense of responsibility and a belief in the important role the Chamber plays in shaping Penticton’s future.
Through my work as Executive Director of a non-profit and registered charity, I operate at the intersection of workforce development, employer engagement, community integration, and economic resilience. This perspective reinforces my understanding that business vitality and inclusive community-building are interconnected.
Kori Iceton, Co-Owner of The Hub on Martin
I am the co-owner of The Hub on Martin, which is a Live Music Venue and Neighbourhood Pub, located downtown Penticton. My background is in hospitality, managing food and beverage establishments, meeting and conventions, marketing and event planning. I was born in Penticton and feel blessed to be able to raise my two girls in this close knit community. My drive in life and in business is to create happiness and positive experiences. I know that when our community works together, our vibrant city continues to improve for both our local and visiting friends. My business allows me to have the time to connect with the business community, and bring attention and energy to important local topics. I would be honored to continue to a part of the Chamber Board of Directors.

I am a cybersecurity and technology professional with extensive experience in digital risk management and emerging AI solutions. I work with organizations to strengthen security, protect critical data, and adopt technology in ways that are both innovative and responsible.
I’m motivated to serve on the Chamber Board because today’s businesses must navigate rapidly evolving cyber threats and AI advancements. I believe I can contribute a forward-thinking perspective that helps our business community stay secure, competitive, and prepared for the future, and would welcome the opportunity to support the Chamber by helping enhance digital security awareness, guiding technology-related initiatives, and contributing to forward-thinking strategies that ensure our local business community remains secure, competitive, and future-ready.

I care deeply about the strength and long-term success of our local business community. The Chamber plays an important role in bringing businesses together, advocating for their interest and creating opportunities for connections and growth. As a commercial banker in the South Okanagan, I work closely with local business owners across a range of industries as they grow, transition and navigate change, and I know the Chamber, and working within it, can help us all.

When local businesses succeed, our entire community benefits — from better healthcare access to expanded recreational and cultural opportunities.
Serving on the Board of Directors has allowed me to contribute to that ecosystem in a meaningful way. I value the Chamber’s role in advocating for businesses, fostering collaboration, and creating connections that strengthen our regional economy. I have previously operated two businesses, including a limited company, where I was responsible for managing finances and accounting processes up to the Trial Balance stage. My duties included recruitment and termination of staff, issuing invoices for services rendered, and maintaining direct relationships with both customers and tradespeople. My professional background also encompasses legal sector experience, culminating in a role as Judicial Assistant to three Supreme Court Judges. Additionally, I have contributed to various committees, such as the B.C. Advisory Committee on Elder Abuse and The Surrey Board of Trade. I am confident that my commitment, professionalism, and track record of active community engagement will bring significant value to the Chamber of Commerce.
Celine Lucier, Director of Leadership Development at Saltys Beach House
I am applying to serve on the Board of Directors because I care deeply about Penticton — not just as a place to live, but as a community where businesses, leaders, and employees can grow together.
As Director of Leadership Development for three local restaurants including Saltys, I spend my days developing people, strengthening teams, and helping organizations operate with both heart and discipline. I’m a recipient of a Hospitality Leadership Award, which reflects my focus on people development, strong culture, and sustainable leadership. What motivates me to serve on the Chamber Board is a genuine commitment to strengthening Penticton’s business community through collaboration, advocacy, and leadership development. I bring a next-generation perspective that complements existing experience and helps engage emerging leaders and future business owners.
London Noiles, Bank Manager at TD Canada Trust
I'm London, a local retail bank manager with a psychology degree and a rooted history in the service industry. Since moving to Penticton five years ago, I’ve seen firsthand how vital our small businesses are, and I want to bring my mix of financial knowledge and human behavior insights to the Board. I’m motivated to join the Chamber to provide a ground level understanding of the local economy.
My focus would be on advocating for business-friendly policies and individual financial health by helping to provide the financial literacy needed for long term growth. And, by leveraging my professional network, I can help facilitate partnerships and strengthen the bridge between the banking sector and local entrepreneurs.

My name is Waleed Raza, and I am the Store Manager at Big Box Outlet in Penticton. In my role, I oversee daily operations, financial performance, and team leadership, while working closely with customers and other local businesses. Over the years, I’ve developed strong skills in budgeting, strategic planning, and building accountable, motivated teams.
I understand how critical it is for businesses to feel supported, connected, and represented. I am motivated to serve on the Chamber Board because I care about the long-term success and sustainability of Penticton’s business environment. I want to contribute practical experience, thoughtful decision-making, and a collaborative mindset to help strengthen partnerships and advocate for businesses of all sizes.
Penelope Roche, Owner & Winemaker at Roche Wines
I’m Penelope Roche, originally from France, and the owner and winemaker of Roche Wines here in the Okanagan. I grew up immersed in French wine culture, where I learned the value of craftsmanship, patience, and building a brand rooted in heritage. Bringing that experience to Canada, I’ve built a winery that combines traditional winemaking knowledge with innovation, connecting agriculture, tourism, and hospitality in our region.
I’m motivated to serve on the Chamber Board because I believe strongly in collaboration and shared growth. I want to contribute my entrepreneurial experience, international perspective, and passion for supporting local business to ensure the Chamber continues to be a strong, forward-thinking advocate for the Okanagan’s economic and cultural vitality.

I am a newspaper publisher/executive with over 40 years experience at a senior management level. I am motivated to to see things succeed and I also work to see those around me succeed. I value my time and understand sometimes the world runs slower than I do. I trust what people tell me but usually confirm before I judge. I am accountable, dependable and a team player.
Working with the Chamber Board would be a fantastic opportunity to bring my ideas and suggestions to the forefront. Penticton is a beautiful city but there is room for improvement and we need to capitalize on these opportunities.

I am interested in serving on the Board because I believe deeply in the role the Penticton Chamber plays in strengthening and elevating our local business community. As a long-standing member, regular event attendee, and prize sponsor, I’ve experienced firsthand the connection, advocacy, and visibility the Chamber provides. Serving on the Board feels like a meaningful next step in giving back to an organization that has supported my own growth.
As a small, home-based business owner, I represent a unique and sometimes underrepresented segment of the business community. I understand the realities of solopreneurs and independent operators, and I would bring that perspective to board discussions. I believe there is opportunity to continue strengthening how the Chamber supports businesses at all stages and scales.

In accordance with the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce By-Laws, the Chamber called for nominations to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds who are elected for two-year terms to manage the affairs of the Board in accordance with the Chamber's bylaws.
Nominees are owners or employees of a member organization that is in good standing prior to the nominations closing date on Monday, February 23, 2026.
*Member in good standing is the status assigned to a member of the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce when their organization has remained current on Chamber membership fees and payments. The term is construed under ordinary rules and with reference to the by-laws and constitution of the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce.
There are 7 Board of Director seats available for a 2 year term, and an 8th seat available for a 1-year term. In total, there are 17 nominees running in this election.
