Chambers Plan Group Insurance

The Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan has been providing health, dental, and paramedical benefits to business owners and employees since 1970.

Chamber members and their employees will gain access to a variety of discounts from major national and local brands.

The Chamber provides an array of marketing options including B2B, sponsorships, and hosting functions.

We work with government members at the local, provincial, and federal levels to ensure that issues affecting Penticton businesses are being heard and addressed.


Advocacy


Business throughout Penticton are experience significant challenges from inflation and supply chain breakdowns to community safety and housing. The Penticton Chamber, along with the B.C. and Canadian Chambers are all actively lobbying various levels of government to address the issues that are hurting businesses.


Even if your business has been fortunate enough to avoid most of these issues, your membership supports the Chamber's efforts to improve the business environment for others, who likely support your business in some way. At the end of the day, the Chamber endeavours to metaphorically create high tides to float all boats.


Connections


The Penticton Chamber is well known for hosting its many networking and community events throughout the year. Time and time again, we hear managers and owners tell us how they met someone at one of our events that turned into a new client or supplier, and everyone always says how much they enjoy being around like-minded people.


In addition to attending, you can also host a Chamber Social event, like a Business After Business, at your property, or become a sponsor of a Chamber event to showcase your business, service, or product.

We love learning about, promoting, and recognizing businesses throughout the South Okanagan. Whether it's at our annual Business Excellence Awards, in our Business Review magazine, during a Chamber Cash Mob, or through the Top 40 program, we want to share the achievements and innovations happening in and around Penticton.


Your membership helps provide the resources we need to continue this work and showcase your efforts to our city, region, and beyond.


Distinction


Every three years, the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce's operations and board activities are reviewed and evaluated by the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada, with a focus on demonstrating excellence in policy and advocacy, membership services, and governance. The Penticton Chamber is only one of seven Chambers in B.C. to hold this status. The Chamber also carries an A+ rating with B.C.'s Better Business Bureau.


What does this mean for Members? Research shows that businesses also receive credit for being Chamber members. In the United States, businesses see a 63% increase in the likelihood that the consumer will shop with them over a non-chamber member.

Rates for Businesses

More than one location or business? Receive 50% off the base rate for each additional location(s) or business unit (defined as additional businesses owned or operated by the same Chamber Member). Email: admin@penticton.org to enroll additional business(es).


Membership costs are also subject to 5% GST, which will be added at time of purchase.

For an additional $85 per year, you are able to purchase a PREMIUM (formerly ENHANCED) listing that will truly showcase your business online. Your landing page will feature a large hero image along with an explanation of your business, ability to upload and display videos, provide directions to your location, and present a comprehensive catalogue of your products or services. This is a great and inexpensive way to boost your online presence and present your business in the best way possible. For those organizations who may not yet have a website, this option is strongly recommended so that potential customers are able to see your digital storefront and product/service offerings when searching online.


It is also simple to create and share a large amount of business information. You can easily update your company's content, include all your social media platforms, and give your catalog and mobile app a fresh look whenever you choose. You can upload any job vacancies you may have, which in turn will also be shared on the Chamber's job board, thereby increasing your chances of finding the right candidate, and you can list any sales, discounts, or deals you're currently offering on the Chamber's Marketplace.
