Keynote Speaker: Justin Kripps, Olympic Champion

Justin Kripps grew up in Summerland, BC working in the orchards and running track and field through his high school years. After earning a scholarship to SFU he was offered an opportunity to try bobsleigh in Calgary. Upon trying the sport he fell in love with the mix of athleticism and adrenaline and decided to focus completely on Bobsleigh.

Four years later he qualified for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics as a brakeman.  After the Olympics, Kripps was given the opportunity to try his hand at the controls and moved up to the pilot seat of the sled. Right away he knew this was where he was supposed to be.

In his next 12 years as a pilot he would travel the world experiencing a rollercoaster of highs and lows including spectacular crashes, over 40 World Cup medals, 3 World Championship medals, 9 Crystal Globes as well as Gold and Bronze Olympic Medals.
