Kiwanis Club of Penticton

The Kiwanis Organization is an international group of volunteers, with a focus of serving the children of the world. The Penticton club has been serving the community since 1945. We are a mosaic of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to promote the development of the youth in Penticton. Our members range in age from the 30's to the 80's.
Some of our lasting community legacies include: the Promenade pier and attached walking path; three cost-friendly senior housing complexes; Kiwanis Park on Edmonton Ave and many other structures that resulted from our funding. Today, we are active in the schools, with reading and book programs, as well as our commitment to scholarships for high school and college students. We have been the major sponsor of the Kiwanis Music Festival since it began. We host the Halloween Cycle-Path and Easter events for children at the Safety Village and provide funding for a number of youth programs. We get our hands dirty when needed.
