There’s no place like home, but that doesn’t stop the Coast Penticton Hotel from doing everything they can to make it feel like you never left. Since opening over 50 years ago the Coast Penticton Hotel has been a member of the Chamber, as a way to connect with the business community, promote their business tour tourists and businesses alike and to stay involved in what’s happening within the community.

The Coast Penticton Hotel first opened in the 1960’s. “Once you experience the view from Penticton, with its lakes and mountain slopes, it can be tough to leave. We saw the demand from tourists and businesses wanting to visit,” say Robin and Janice Agur, owners of the Coast Penticton Hotel and long-time members of the community. Their newly renovated rooms feature complimentary Wi-Fi and local calls. Making their guests comfortable is their top priority.

As a Coast hotel, they make sure you can expect full-service treatment and a range of wonderful amenities. Their ambassadors can provide hints about where to go and what to do. Just ask! They love to give their guests the inside scoop. The Coast Penticton Hotel encourages their guests experience penticton by visiting the local cafés and restaurants, taking in a concert in the new event centre, going to the farmers market, walking along the KVR trail, and tell them to be sure to bring home with some local wine and beer.

“We love Penticton because of the vast offering of activities available to us at our fingertips. You can ski, play golf, go mountain biking, wine tasting and top that off with a delicious dinner overlooking the Lakes. That’s all in one day if you’re up to the challenge,” say Robin and Janice Agur, “We don’t just work here; we live and play here, too.”

Sean Oh, Chamber AmbassadorYou may have met him at a Business After Business event, or you may have dealt with him at the Bank of Montreal. Sean Oh, the newest member of the Chamber’s Ambassador Team, has been active in the community meeting new people and networking. He’s become a familiar face at Chamber events, which became a perfect segue to becoming an ambassador.

The Chamber’s team of ambassadors are made up of ten members who help the chamber ‘drive economic and social growth and improvement on behalf of, and in support of, our members and the community’. You see them at events such as the Business After Business networking mixer welcoming attendees at the door, giving out drink tickets, taking photos and working the crowd.

He moved from South Korea to Prince George in 1996, and recently moved to Penticton with his wife, Jin and 9 month old son, Eric. Sean is taking advantage of Penticton by playing soccer, tennis, going camping and snowboarding in his free time.

Sean experienced his first Business After Business as an ambassador at the Sandman Hotel’s exceptional event. “I like meeting new people and being involved in community events,” says Sean, “My favorite part about being an ambassador is having the chance to meet new people that are passionate about their business.”

VersaPayAs a member of the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce, you’re also a member of the Canadian and BC Chambers of Commerce. Several benefits offered by the Chamber are through the memberships we hold. VersaPay is partnered with the BC Chamber of Commerce to offer its members proprietary solutions and excellent customer service for businesses.

VersaPay offers two primary solutions for members through their online platform as well as a special one-eight-eight number, without a phone tree during regular business hours, dedicated to BC Chamber members only. They also offer 24/7/365 customer support for your business, because VersaPay knows many businesses run outside of “regular business hours”.

By and large, when a business sends an invoice there are several steps involved through a back and forth from business to client, and back again via Canada Post. VeraPay offers a solution to this timely task with their Electronic Invoicing & Bill Payment Platform, which replicates the process of invoicing, paper free!

The Electronic Invoicing & Payment Platform is an electronic chequing system, so there is no percentage fee. VersaPay does not have a maximum transaction, making it affordable and simple for you and your clients.

VersaPay also offers credit and debit card payment solutions including, but not limited to physical terminals and ecommerce integration into your website. Versa Pay can customize solutions to your business. For example, if you’re a restaurant and need a terminal with short range wireless integrated into your point of sale system, VersaPay can set that up for you with more aggressive pricing for chamber members!

So you’re interested? Until October 31 VersaPay is running s summer promotion where you can earn up to $700. For complete details click here.

The money your business has the potential to save when using Versa Pay can often more than compensate for your yearly membership to the chamber. How can you pass up a deal like that? For more information about Versa Pay’s chamber options contact Chris Bowes or the relationship team at: 1-888-318-8729 or chris.browes@versapay.com, who will be happy to help you understand the best Vera Pay options for your business.
