    Event Description:
A detailed review of the federal government's private company consultation paper and proposed tax changes.

The federal government is proposing some of the biggest tax changes in the last 50 years that will affect every incorporated business, big and small, in the Southern Okanagan!

Jonathan McGraw, CPA, CA, Partner, and Troy Neave, CPA, CA, Tax Manager, from BDO Canada will breakdown and explain the effects these changes will have on your business.

Finance Minister Bill Morneau recently released the much anticipated consultation paper proposing changes to how private corporations are used to gain tax advantages entitled "Tax Planning Using Private Corporations"  As expected, the proposed changes are far-reaching and will impact all Canadians who use private companies, including family businesses and incorporated professionals. The proposals focus on three main areas that the federal government believes provide unfair tax results to Canadian taxpayers.

All Chambers across the country are working in partnership with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in an attempt to have the government reconsider the drastic changes proposed.
